Bumula Member of Parliament Mwambu Mabonga has come to aid of Purity Mutsielo, a form one student who was admitted at mwiruti girls with neither school fees nor the required personal effects for her secondary school education.
Purity received a calling letter from Cardinal Otunga afer girls after scoring 382 marks in KCPE but her parents could not afford the school fees and opted to take her to Mwiruti girls.
Addressing students and teachers on February 14, 2020 at Mwiruti girls’ high school during the official opening of the twin laboratory, Bumula MP Mwambu Mabonga promised to support purity throughout her secondary education for her to get good results and join one of the best universities.
“I promise to pay the whole fees from one to form four for my daughter to continue with her learning here at Mwiruti girls.’’ said Mwambu
The legislator added that his CDF management has identified all the needy students in the entire constituency and he will ensure that all needy students benefit from the funds.
On security matters, the MP assured members of the public that the security department is vigilant, adding that the new OCPD and OCS are on toes to ensure the residents are served well.
“I am happy because whenever I pass here at night I see the security team doing some patrol to make sure that there are no cases of brutal killings and theft,” he assured.
Humbled Purity Mutsielo assured parents and teachers that she will give her best in school and that her humble background is a motivation to her.
“I come from a humble background but through our able MP, I have been challenged to work harder and realize my full potential ’’ She said.
Her sentiments were echoed by Mwiruti girls’ chief principal Mildred Opwora who said that the school is targeting to take more candidates to university in 2020 compared to last year.
The school principal revealed that purity came to the school without anything but was supported by the school staff staff members who has made her stay in school.
Ms. Opwora thanked the MP for his support that will see to it that bright but needy students have a chance to study and achieve their goals.
She added that the school is having a problem in terms of infrastructure and called upon Mwambu Mabonga to help the school build a dining hall.
‘’I plead to the well-wishers together with our able MP Mwambu Mabonga to intervene and help us build a dining hall.’’ She said.
