Two in hospital over contaminated milk

A section of Bungoma residents have accused a top business chain in Bungoma town over what  they term as exposing customers to health hazard.

This come barely two weeks after three people were hospitalized after consuming contaminated milk bought from Khetia supermarket-cross road branch in Bungoma town.

The two victim allegedly bought two packets of milk at the branch,after consuming they started feeling severe stomache ache where their families rushed them to the hospital,later diagnosed of food poison.

In 2012,Khetia supermarket hit global and local newsroom headlines after allegedly been selling fake maize seeds, according to news reports.

Residents have called on Kenya bureau of standards to investigate the branch products.

Reached for comments the supermarket director Ashok Khetia declined to comment about it.
